I am so glad you are here. I truly believe that every individual needs a space to process the stressors of life and I hope to provide you that place. Are you struggling with stress and feeling completely overwhelmed? Maybe your kids are having problems and you're not sure what the right thing to do is? Or maybe you feel like no one understands you and what you're going through.
You are not alone. I work hard to provide a safe, non-judgmental space that my clients can come and explore the difficulties they are experiencing. My goal is to help individuals become empowered and healthy, children and adolescents to gain confidence and overcome behavior challenges and families and couples to come together as one. No two individuals are the same.
Our sessions will be tailored to address challenges unique to you. We will work together to understand the root cause of your struggles and address those issues with long-lasting strategies that work. My hope is that this will give you the opportunity overcome these struggles and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
I believe the quote “compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.” is a great approach to life as so often we forget that the only person we should strive to become is the best version of ourselves. Sometimes we are lost and struggling to see the good within.
Be proud of yourself for having the courage to seek counseling to become the healthiest, happiest version of you!!
Now, let's begin this journey together!
Clinical Areas of Interest and Training
While my emphasis and passion has led me to work with children, I also have experience in working with teens, adults, and couples. I enjoy working with all ages and I believe that each client that comes to me presents in their own unique way giving me the opportunity to work with and grow as a therapist. I have experience in working with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, self injury, self esteem and relationship difficulties. Sometimes, we fail to recognize the many amazing qualities we possess and through therapy, I work with my client to help them see and embrace all they have accomplished.
Education
I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. I completed my internship in the SASS (Screening and Support Services) at Will County Health Department in Joliet. I worked as a crisis counselor with children and adolescents as well as provided crisis assessments for families during times where the individual's safety was a concern.
I also am Gottman Level 1 trained and currently working on Level 2 to continue my work with couples.
License
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois. My license number is 180.010128
